# Deployments

Deployments are instances of the Dragobits contracts, in a particular version, deployed to a specific EVM chain. Similar to Ethereum's decentralization stages, Dragobit versions are also called "[**Stages**](https://docs.dragobits.com/game/deployments/editor)". A deployment of a specific stage to a particular chain is called an "[**Instance**](https://docs.dragobits.com/game/deployments/markdown)".
