What Are Dragobugs?

Dragobugs are collectible critters that your Dragobit can pick up during training. Each training session has around a chance of awarding your Dragobit a brand-new Dragobug (with a maximum of eight). These little companions can play a significant role in your Dragobit’s battles.

How Do Bug Battles Work?

When your Dragobit fights another Dragobit, and both have at least one Dragobug, those bugs engage in their own “mini-battles.” Each pair of bugs can result in three outcomes: a win, a loss, or a tie for your Dragobit’s bug. If your Dragobit’s bugs collectively rack up more wins, your Dragobit receives a strength buff in the main battle; if your opponent’s bugs win more rounds, they get the buff instead. This buff can mean the difference between victory and defeat, making bug collection and variety important considerations for competitive players.

Why Does the Bug Order Matter?

Not all Dragobugs are equal, and certain Dragobugs “win” over others. This order is determined by the “bug permutation,” which is a special sequence that the game shuffles from time to time. Essentially, each bug is assigned a place in an invisible circle, and if your bug is ahead of another in the circle, it tends to beat that bug in a mini-battle. Because the game periodically reshuffles this circle, you might find that a bug that was previously dominant may later be weak against newly introduced or rearranged bugs. Staying up-to-date on bug permutations and collecting a diverse set of Dragobugs can help you adapt and maintain an edge.

Getting Started with Dragobugs

1. Train Your Dragobit: Every training attempt has a coin-flip chance of adding one Dragobug.

2. Watch for Variety: Different bugs have different strengths, and the bug permutation changes, so having multiple types can pay off.

3. Aim for Battle Buffs: When your bugs face off against another player’s bugs, every win they secure contributes to your Dragobit’s potential overall strength buff.

Whether you’re training for fun or aiming for the top of the arena, collecting Dragobugs and paying attention to their matchups is a smart way to increase your Dragobit’s chances of coming out on top. Good luck, and happy bug hunting!
